Assignment 2, Btech 3rd sem

1.       Drag  force on sphere involved six variables-drag Force, diameter, viscosity, density , velocity and pressure. Find the relation between those.
2.       Determine the pressure difference down a pipe which depends on fluid properties: density, viscosity, diameter of pipe, length of pipe, velocity and wall roughness.   Find the relation.
3.       For helicopter rotors with tip injection, the thrust (T) of a blade is functions of tip injection velocity (v), the speed of sound (a), span (l) rotation rate (ε) translation speed (U), and fluid density (ϱ). How many independent dimensionless grouping are there? Develop the formula for T in terms of other properties

Notice for 5th sem and 3rd sem

Dear all,

Submit your first Assignments in journals before 22nd Aug.
The submission would be considered as your Term work.

Submission after 22nd would not considered.

(5th sem students who have already  submitted their  first Assignment in pages have to again submit  in new Journal)

Thank You
